How-To Balance Your pH With Ingredients in Your Fridge

December 11, 2009 Health News 2 Comments

Did you know the typical North American diet is completely backwards? Most experts in the nutritional field recommend eating an 80/20 diet, which means you are supposed to consume 80% alkaline foods and 20% acidic foods with your daily food consumption. However, somehow over the decades a lot of people in North America have switched to 80% acidic and 20% Alkaline. This is causing our bodies to be more acidic! When a body consumes so much acidic foods it has a hard time trying to balance the bodies’ pH. Disease thrives in an acidic environment and can not exist in a pure alkaline environment.

When we were created, we were meant to eat food that was in a natural state and needed little preparation. I’m meaning our planets natural fruit and vegetables. The skills of advertising have transformed the couple hundred basic foods into thousands of man-made junk.

Don’t get me wrong here, there are foods out there I love that probably are not the best for me, but we need to keep these to a very small intake. Natural foods, you just eat and are not meant to sit around for months at a time. They do not require chemicals to preserve shelf life and they are full of vitamins and minerals that our bodies need in order to keep it in a healthy state.

You can do a lot with your bodies’ pH level just by the foods you consume right out of your fridge! You are what you eat, you know.  So, I am going to ask you to click here to go to an alkaline/acidic food chart, save it to your computer and print it off. This little tool is key to good health. Feel free to hang it up on the fridge and also take to the grocery store so you can make better decisions on the food you purchase for you and your family.

This list is not complete as there are many different foods out there, but it is a great start to bringing your body to an alkaline state. You also need to remember to get daily exercise, drink ample amounts of water, and take a good supplement!

From the words of Dr. Robert Young – An Alkaline State

“Your energy will increase, you’ll find new mental clarity and powers of concentration, you’ll build strength and stamina, and you’ll lose excess body fat while increasing muscle mass. You’ll have bright eyes and clear skin. You’ll look better. You’ll improve your athletic performance. Your entire body will function more efficiently.
Whatever health challenges you’ve been facing will improve and most likely evaporate altogether. In short, you’ll regain all the effortless energy and wellness you thought was lost with your childhood.”

This is certainly not the first time that I’ve heard that our bodies are going to maintain a balanced healthier state if we remain in more of a constant alkaline state. My name is Ronda Lauer, a personal trainer and wellness and cleanse coach, and I am all for maintaining a lowered acidic level in our body. My mom unfortunately passed away from lung cancer 2 1/2 years ago, and sadly was encouraged to “go ahead and continue to eat all the sugar that you’d like to.” My concern, after learning that cancer loves, sugar…because it loves an acidic environment, encourages me to help others to learn this great piece of information.

Continue doing what you are doing hl4y…as I continue to educate others…and learn from you!!

  2. I have been hearing/reading a lot about pH and your body lately. It makes absolute sense to me. Now I just need to perfect my 80/20 diet. Sometimes my taste buds win out over my head. :-)
